Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said talks were being held at various levels so that the Home Guards volunteers could also get facilities on a par with the police personnel.

Vij gave this information at the launch of the Online Duty Roster System of the Home Guards and Civil Defence Department today. With the launch of this portal, the Home Guards volunteers will be sent on duty in an online manner.

The Home Minister directed officers of the Home Guards to digitise the service, duty, attendance, allowance records etc of the volunteers of the Home Guards.

On the occasion of the launch of the online duty roster system, officers told the Home Minister that at present there were about 12,000 volunteers of the Home Guards and with the introduction of the online system corruption could be curbed.
