The two-time local MLA, who is expecting the party ticket for the third consecutive time, is holding tea programmes, workers’ meetings, besides meeting people in market and residential areas, to woo voters.

Subhash won the seat for the BJP in the previous two Assembly elections and he believes that the people of Thanesar will continue to support the saffron party based on the work done over the past 10 years.

The party also performed well in the Thanesar segment during the Lok Sabha elections as BJP candidate Naveen Jindal had bagged 72,433 votes while INDIA bloc candidate and AAP state chief Sushil Gupta had secured 53,900 votes.

Speaking to The Tribune, Subhash Sudha said, “The Thanesar Assembly segment has witnessed unprecedented development under the BJP’s regime. An elevated track is under construction and the trials are likely to begin soon, the upgrade of the Civil Hospital, educational institutes and strengthening of road networks and various other development works have been carried out over the past 10 years. We are meeting people daily and getting a positive response from the people.”

“Like the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition parties have been trying to misguide the public but they will never succeed. We recently held a Tridev meeting in which we had detailed discussions regarding the booth management, campaigning and voter awareness. The party workers are making people aware of the achievements and policies of the government. Once the ticket is announced, we will further intensify the campaigning,” he added.
