Sanskrit Week will be organised in colleges and schools of Haryana till August 25.
Giving information about this, Director, Haryana Sanskrit Academy, Dr Dinesh Shastri, said for further promotion of the Sanskrit language, the academy, through the Education Department, has decided to celebrate this week on a large-scale from August 19 to August 25.
Directions have been given through letters issued to educational institutions.
Shastri said our rich heritage rooted in the Sanskrit language and literature permeates all walks of life. This language is the carrier of Indian knowledge, science, culture, rituals and philosophical values.
He said now this language had also been linked to the Internet. The Haryana Sanskrit Academy had also started a YouTube channel for those interested in the Sanskrit language in Haryana. Through this, Sanskrit language will be brought on the digital platform.
Soon the mobile app of the sanskrit academy will also be started. He said the state government was serious about the promotion of vedas and sanskrit. He believes that the organisation of the Sanskrit Week will play an important role in generating new interest and new enthusiasm among the people, especially the youth, towards our cultural tradition.
