The police have nabbed a teenager hailing from West Bengal on the charge of murdering his live-in partner. He was on Friday produced in a local court, which sent him to judicial custody.
The accused was identified as Mirajuddin alias Lalan (19). He had reportedly been in a live-in relationship with a 23-year-old woman for the past two months. Her body was found in her room on January 10. She married around nine years back and had three children. Around five months back, she returned to her paternal home after a fight with her husband.
She shifted to Basai Enclave around two months ago and was working at a private hospital. “She was in a live-in relationship and her partner fled after strangulating her to death,” said brother of the deceased. After his arrest, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime.
