Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha recommends suspension of 4 MC employees
Kurukshetra, July 1
Thanesar MLA Subhash Sudha today recommended the suspension of four Municipal Council (MC) employees for negligence and delay in issuing no due certificates (NDCs).
Besides, a trainee in the house tax branch of the MC was also relieved from his duty. Subhash Sudha said he visited the MC office and some people apprised him with issues they had been facing in getting the NDC and negligence in the house tax branch.
“There were complaints that applicants are being forced to make repeated rounds to get the NDC. I made a surprise visit at the MC office and found that complaints are true. Applicant Balram Sharma informed that a file related to his house is lying pending with officials for the past more than two months. The negligence of four employees was clearly visible,” the MLA said.
“Not only this, the matter of taking money in lieu of doing work against one or two employees also came to the fore. There were complaints of files being misplaced in house-tax branch,” The MLA added.
“Corruption will not be tolerated at any cost. Any officer or employee, who harass people or demand money for getting work done or by any means, will not be spared. A four-member committee comprising executive officer, secretary, executive engineer and junior engineer has been constituted to issue NDCs. If applicants are dissatisfied with panel’s work, they can contact me,” the MLA said.
