Around eight miscreants robbed goods worth lakhs of rupees and cash from a rice mill at Akbarpur-Barota village of the area after thrashing the chowkidars and tying them up on Tuesday night.

The police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC and began a probe in the matter.

Sanjay of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, in his complaint to the Kundli police said that he and Sanjay of Bihar worked as chowkidars at the rice mill. He alleged that on Tuesday night, when they were in their room, he heard some noise in the factory. He saw that seven or eight persons standing there with a vehicle parked in the factory. They were loading some goods in the vehicle.

As the guards confronted them, they attacked them with some weapons in their hands and tied them up. After that, the accused robbed them of Rs 27,000 and mobile phones. The accused also decamped with an air conditioner, LED TV, electric motor, electric water pumps, engine, generator, a sewing machine and some other costly tools worth Rs 7 lakh.

The guards said they managed to untie their hands and informed the mill owner about the incident. Following the complaint, the Kundli police have registered a

case under various sections of the IPC and began a probe into the matter.
