Third Covid sero survey launched

Chandigarh, September 7

Health Minister Anil Vij today launched the third round of Covid sero survey in the state.

He said the first round of the survey was conducted in August 2020 in which the prevalence of infection was found to be 8% while it was 14.8% in the second round in October 2020. He said about 2,200 medical staff had been deputed to conduct the survey and the report would be submitted within two weeks. Vij said said children above 6 years would also be covered in the survey and it would also be conducted in rural and urban areas. — TNS
