A crime unit team of Farrukhnagar, led by Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar, arrested the accused from Khedla T-point, Sohna, on Friday night. The accused have been identified as Ravi, a resident of Lohatki village near Sohna; and Mohit Kumar and Amit, both residents of Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh. All three of them were taken in two days’ police custody after being produced in a city court on Saturday.

According to a complaint filed by the businessman on December 18, he said on December 16, he got a WhatsApp call on his mobile phone, wherein the caller demanded extortion of Rs 50 lakh from him and threatened to kill him and his family if he failed to pay the money.
