An anti-auto theft unit of the Karnal police arrested three persons allegedly involved in vehicle thefts and recovered two two-wheeler vehicles, one tractor and two trailers.
The accused has been identified as Shamshad, aka Soni, a resident of Kohand, Nazim of Shamli in UP, and Sunil of Kattabagh in Karnal, said Sub-inspector Rohtash Singh, incharge of the anti-auto theft unit. He said the three accused were sent to judicial custody.
Acting on information, the team members arrested Shamshad and Nazim from Meerut Road. During the interrogation, the suspects confessed to stealing two trailers. The police have recovered the stolen trailers and the tractor used in the thefts was seized from the accused.
The team members also arrested Sunil from the Baldi bypass. The police recovered a stolen scooter and a bike.
