The police have registered a case of abduction and gangrape against three youths of a village in the district. No arrest has been made so far.

According to a complaint lodged with the police, one of the accused who knew the victim, identified as Vikram, came to her house on November 2 when she was alone and asked her to accompany him.

The 17-year-old girl was taken to an orchard in a field, where the other two accused, identified as Sanjay and Brahmjit, were present. According to the complaint, the three persons raped her and fled the spot.

A complaint was lodged after the victim revealed the incident to her mother. The accused were likely to be arrested soon, said a police official.
