According to an official, the raids were prompted by information on the illegal sale of e-cigarettes. The first raid took place at Kokayaya Shivam Paan Corner in Sector 56, where authorities seized 21 banned e-cigarettes and 180 boxes of illicit foreign cigarettes. Shop operators Rano Singh and Shivam were arrested.

The second raid targeted the Moon Trust hookah bar in Sector 61, where flavoured hookah and alcohol were being served. The team recovered bottles of beer and liquor, two flavoured hookahs, and tobacco. The bar operator, Pankaj Janghu, was arrested.
