Three killed, two injured in Yamunanagar road mishap

Three young men were killed and two others critically injured when their car collided with a tipper truck on the Sadhaura-Kala Amb road near Asgarpur village in Yamunanagar district late last night.

The deceased have been identified as Atul (22) and Vishal (24) from Chamba, Himachal Pradesh, and Aniket from Haripurdhar. Mohinder (30) and Praveen (22), also from Haripurdhar, sustained serious injuries.

According to Anish, a student from Chamba and brother of deceased Atul, the group of five was returning to Kala Amb from Sadhaura when the tipper in front of them suddenly stopped. Their car crashed into the rear of the heavy vehicle. Anish stated that his brother Atul was pursuing B.Pharmacy at a Kala Amb college.

The injured were first taken to the Community Health Centre in Sadhaura and later referred to the Civil Hospital in Jagadhri. Atul, Vishal and Aniket were declared dead on arrival. Mohinder and Praveen were later shifted to PGI Chandigarh.

Amit Kumar, SHO of Sadhaura Police Station, confirmed that a case has been registered against the unidentified tipper driver under relevant sections.
