Palwal, July 10

The police have registered a case of kidnapping and assault involving three youths from the district.

On Sunday, the victims — Rupesh, Bhupender and Rohit from Bhulwana village — were kidnapped from UP’s Bulandshahar and brought here. They were alleged beaten up near Banchari village, where the accused chopped off Rupesh’s fingers before dumping him on the roadside. Rupesh was later admitted to a hospital in Faridabad.

The accused took Rohit and Bhupender with them and their whereabouts remain unknown. An old enmity is suspected to be the cause behind the incident. An FIR has been registered against several persons, including Bhola, who is a wanted criminal, said the police.
