The rally commenced from Nehru Park and concluded at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. Despite the intense heat, a large number of people participated, waving the national flag and chanting slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” During the rally, tributes were paid to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.

Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala, who attended the event, stated that such rallies were being held across the state to recognise the efforts of the armed forces. He remarked that India is fully capable of protecting its borders and responding firmly to any form of attack, including terrorism. Barala added that India had demonstrated its strength not only through military action but also through diplomatic and economic measures.

Cabinet Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi, also addressed the gathering. He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s military response forced Pakistan to retreat within hours. He noted that the rally aimed to honour the bravery of soldiers who laid down their lives in defence of the nation.

Former MP Sunita Duggal also spoke at the event, highlighting the contribution of women officers in military operations. She said Indian women are proving themselves equal in all fields and noted that the Indian Army has sent a strong message to both Pakistan and terrorism.
