Interacts with mediapersons on board Shatabdi Express
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today departed from Chandigarh to Delhi by Shatabdi Express. During the journey, he interacted with mediapersons and spoke about his upcoming visit to Japan and the achievements of his government.
The Chief Minister informed that on October 17, the present state government would complete one year in office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would attend the anniversary celebrations to be held in Sonepat, where he would inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several development projects.
Speaking about his visit to Japan, the Chief Minister said that he would be on a three-day tour from October 6 to 8. Haryana’s pavilion has been set up in Japan where he would participate and hold meetings with several investors. He would also interact with people from Haryana residing in Japan. As per Haryana’s industrial policy, the Japan visit aims to attract investment and create new opportunities for the state.
Highlighting the government’s performance over the past year, Saini said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana is progressing at three times the earlier pace. He added that 42 commitments made in the ‘sankalp patra’ have already been fulfilled and work is in progress on 90 others.
He informed that 19 lakh women in the state are receiving gas cylinders for just Rs 500. During the third term of the government, 25,000 youth have been provided employment so far. The Chief Minister said that people who have been occupying panchayat land for the past 20 years are being given ownership rights.

Responding to a question, the Chief Minister criticised the Opposition and said that false propaganda is being spread regarding MSP when the Centre has consistently taken decisions in favour of farmers. He added that all allegations made by the Opposition have fallen flat. “The Congress is finished, and under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, both the central and state governments are continuously working for public welfare,” he said.
Taking a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he remarked that it took him a year to appoint former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda as Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly.
On the issue of the CLU CD case, the Chief Minister said that such incidents used to happen during the Congress government’s tenure.
Responding to a question about former MP Brijendra Singh’s ‘Sadhbhavna Yatra’, the Chief Minister said that the BJP has always worked to unite people. “Chaudhary Birender Singh was made a minister, his son a Member of Parliament and his wife an MLA. The respect that the BJP has given them was never offered by the Congress,” he added.
