Pays homage to Dr BR Ambedkar
Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva paid homage to Dr BR Ambedkar on his death anniversary on Saturday by laying floral tributes at his statue located on the faculty of law premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sachdeva emphasised that Dr Ambedkar’s principles must become an integral part of one’s life. He noted that only by drawing inspiration from such visionary leaders could the society move forward with purpose.
Dr Ambedkar, he said, dedicated years of determined struggle to shaping a socially and politically empowered India. Prof Sachdeva added that Dr Ambedkar dreamt of a progressive and developed nation, making his values and teachings ever-relevant in contemporary India.
Several senior university officials and faculty members, including Registrar Lt Virender Pal, Dean, Academic Affairs, Prof Rakesh Kumar, proctor Prof Anil Gupta, Institute of Law, Director, Prof Amit Ludri were present.
