The Haryana Cabinet today gave approval to revise the “Samadhan Se Vikas” scheme to enable the recovery of long-pending External Development Charges (EDC) dues. The “Samadhan Se Vikas” Scheme was formulated to enable recovery of long pending EDC dues and was approved by the Council of Ministers in its meeting held on July 6, 2020. An amount of Rs 1130.13 crore has been recovered under this policy till September 30.

As of now, approximately Rs 14,932.87-crore EDC is outstanding with the developers.

Also, the approval was granted to a proposal for ordinance of second amendment to Haryana Pond and Waste Water Management Authority Act-2018 for amending and extending the tenure of the executive vice-chairperson, technical advisor and member secretary from 65 years to 68 years.
