Rohtak, January 25
With a view to allaying the apprehensions and misconceptions about the Covid vaccines prevalent among doctors and healthcare workers, more than 100 faculty members of Rohtak PGIDS, including principal Dr Sanjay Tewari, got the shots here on Monday.
Chief guest Dr HK Aggarwal, Registrar of Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, congratulated Dr Tewari and his team for the pioneering initiative. “The anti-Covid vaccines have been found to be completely safe and all doctors and other employees of the PGIMS as well as the state Health Department should come forward to get themselves vaccinated to get a security cover against the virus,” Dr Aggarwal said.
Meanwhile, Dr Tewari said doctors and health workers were fortunate to get the opportunity to get the anti-Covid vaccines. An awareness programme-cum-question-answer session was organised to dispel the myths associated with the vaccines.
Rohtak Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Birla was also present on the occasion. Dr Manjunath BC, who heads the department of public health dentistry at the PGIDS, said the students of the institute would also be vaccinated next week.
