Tohana police seize 90 kg of ganja from truck, two held

The Fatehabad district police have seized a large quantity of ganja from a 10-tyre truck. Two youths in the truck were arrested and are currently being interrogated.
Tohana CIA incharge Pradeep Kumar said under the leadership of ASI Surender Singh, the Tohana CIA team was patrolling near the new grain market in Tohana when they received a tip-off. The information indicated that Sunil, alias Malua, of Jind and Tushar from Tohana were waiting at a bypass with a large amount of ganja hidden in their truck cabin.
Acting on this tip-off, the police team reached the location and found a truck parked along the roadside. Upon questioning, the two men in the truck identified themselves as Sunil and Tushar. During a search of the truck, the police discovered five sacks in the cabin, which contained ganja.
The police found four sacks containing 20 kg each and one sack with 10 kg of ganja. Consequently, the police seized the truck and registered a case under the NDPS Act at Tohana city police station. The two men will be presented in court today.
