Samain village in Fatehabad district has made an important decision that is being discussed across the area. The village panchayat has decided to send tractor trolleys to every household to collect animal dung. This initiative will allow rural women to easily dispose of animal waste without having to carry it far. On Saturday, the village sarpanch sent off two tractor trolleys to start the process.

This move follows a previous initiative where two tractor trolleys were already being used to collect household waste. The village women had to walk long distances during the winter season to dispose of cow dung, adding to their morning chores. To ease their burden, the sarpanch decided to introduce two more tractor trolleys specifically for collecting animal dung, making it more convenient for women.

Now, Samain village will have a total of four tractor trolleys — two for waste collection and two for cow dung. These trolleys will go to every to house in every street, picking up waste. The dung collected will be used to make natural fertiliser, which will benefit local farmers.

Ranbeer Gill, village sarpanch, explained that the dung will be gathered in one place and turned into organic compost, which will be available to farmers at a low cost. This initiative will not only help keep the village clean but also provide a sustainable fertiliser option for farmers.

The decision has created a lot of buzz in the region, as this is the first time in the area that tractor trolleys will be used to collect waste and dung directly from homes. Previously, such services were only seen in cities.

The sarpanch believes that this initiative will reduce waste in the village and help prevent the spread of diseases by maintaining cleanliness in the community.
