The movement of four wheelers will remain closed on the main Mohna road in Ballabhgarh town in the city for about two months. Traffic will remain affected on a length of around 1700 metres on this road due to the ongoing construction work on about 2-km-long elevated bridge on the road.
PWD officials said the plying of only two-wheelers will be allowed while the movement of four-wheelers will be closed from Sunday morning for a period of about two months.
Commuters have been advised to use other alternative routes to go towards the bypass road and areas like Sectors 64, 65 and villages located on Ballabhgarh- Mohna road. An official said the agency that had been given the contract had started the construction work on the elevated portion of the bridge which is the first of its kind in Ballabhgarh. The piling work of the pillars will be taken up from Sunday.
The road will remain closed from both sides from Adarsh Nagar police station till Uncha Gaon Mod on Mohna Road. Four-wheelers will have to use the road connecting the Adarsh Nagar police station via Sector-64, Sector-64-65, Malerna Road to Mohana Road near Gupta Hotel.
