The portal will remain open for two months, allowing owners to give their consent.
‘The Tribune’ had reported that the project remained unexecuted even six years after the laying of foundation stone by the then CM, Manohar Lal Khattar, in 2019.
The project is planned to be developed over 1,654 acres. The panchayat has already passed a resolution to provide 1,032 acres of panchayat land, while the remaining land falls under private ownership.
A major obstacle to the project’s implementation is the lack of direct connectivity between the proposed site and the Dadri-Narnaul highway. The government aims to establish seamless access, but progress has been stalled as several landowners reportedly are unwilling to sell their land.
Two 60-m roads have been proposed to connect the project site to the highway. One would run from Akoda to Khudana, requiring over 20 acres, and the other from Adalpur to Khudana, needing about 29 acres. However, both options have failed to materialise due to reluctance from several private landowners.
Meanwhile, Mahendragarh SDM Kanika Goyal held a meeting with the sarpanches of Khudana, Adalpur, and Kharkhada villages, along with officials from the departments concerned. She informed them that the portal had been opened for residents of those villages to take their consent for land acquisition.
Locals have long awaited the execution of the project, believing it will not only create employment opportunities but also serve as a catalyst for the development of the region.
