Tributes to Manohar Joshi, Nafe Singh Rathi in Assembly

Chandigarh, February 26

During the ongoing Budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today, obituary resolutions were passed to pay tributes to Manohar Joshi — former Lok Sabha Speaker — and Nafe Singh Rathi — former member of the Vidhan Sabha.

Leader of the House and Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, paid tributes and read out the obituary resolutions. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta also read the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls.

Congress MLA Aftab Ahmed and Raghuvir Singh Kadian read the obituary resolutions on behalf of their party. Apart from this, the House expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Vedvanti — aunt of MLA Narender Gupta.
