Kurukshetra, August 11

Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal today said that the national flag was above caste, religion and creed and connected every citizen with national sentiment. The Tricolour is the most sacred thread that binds the country together.

The MP was addressing a gathering during the inauguration of Haryana Ghar Tiranga Yatra organised by the Sports Department and the Education Department at Dronacharya Stadium in Kurukshetra.

Jindal said, “The Tricolour is a symbol of our pride, courage and commitment towards the nation. Such programmes also provide an opportunity to remember the martyrdom of hundreds of brave martyrs of the country.”

The Kurukshetra MP flagged off the Tiranga Yatra and also participated in it with other BJP leaders from the stadium to the new bus stand.

He said, “The objective of the campaign is to motivate people to hoist the national flag and celebrate the festival of the country’s independence. The idea is to evoke the spirit of patriotism among the people and make them aware of the Indian National Flag.”

The MP said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had started a campaign to hoist the flag at every house from August 11 to 15 to connect the country and the state with the national flag. During this campaign, till August 15, the Tricolour will be seen in every house in Kurukshetra. We all will work together to make the campaign historic and successful.

On this occasion, outgoing Thanesar Municipal Council chairperson Uma Sudha said, “The Tricolour is a symbol of integrity and self-respect. Therefore, it is the responsibility of everyone to respect our flag and share its history with others so that every citizen can feel proud. We all should commemorate the unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives for freedom and also take inspiration from their lives.”

Kurukshetra Additional Deputy Commissioner Vaishali Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of Police Om Prakash, Chief Executive Officer Zila Parishad Ashok Kumar, District Sports Officer Manoj Kumar, BJP district chief Sushil Rana and several other BJP leaders and officials were present on this occasion.
