'Triple engine' to run Haryana after civic body polls: Saini in Yamunanagar
Pulling out all stops to ensure a BJP win in the upcoming civic body elections, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today held a roadshow in Yamunanagar and Jagadhari and addressed public meetings in Kurukshetra and Ambala.
After the daylong poll campaign, the Chief Minister said he was confident that people would ensure 'triple-engine sarkar' in the upcoming elections, which would put the development work on the fast track.

In the roadshow in the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri, the Chief Minister said the BJP government had always given priority to development and public welfare and it was fully committed to protecting the interests of every section of society. He claimed that BJP's mayoral candidate Suman Bahamani along with all 22 candidates for the post of councillors would win by a big margin.
The roadshow started from Ward-1 of Jagadhri and and concluded at Agrasen Chowk near the railway station in Yamunanagar. Exuding confidence, he said: “The BJP is getting tremendous public support in the civic body elections. It will register a historic victory in these elections and a 'triple engine' government will be formed in Haryana.”
In the roadshow, BJP mayor candidate Suman Bahamani, Cabinet Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora, former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar, BJP district president Rajesh Sapra, former mayor Madan Chauhan and BJP leader Banto Kataria were also present.
In Kurukshetra, he addressed a public meeting in support of BJP candidates for Thanesar MC election. The CM said: “Over the past 10 years, the BJP government worked at a good pace, and took public welfare decisions. Jobs were given on merit, decisions were taken in favour of farmers and public. Public grievances are being resolved on priority. The government is committed to fulfilling its all promises.”
“An elevated railway track, which has been constructed to ensure smooth traffic movement, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon. Jyotisar Tirtha is being developed at a cost of Rs 250 crore, and other tirthas, including Brahma Sarovar, are being developed. As many as 17 colonies were regularised, roads were widened and other infrastructure were strengthened by the government”, he added.
Taking a dig at the Congress, Saini said: “The Congress got a zero in the Delhi elections, and I urge you to make lotus bloom in all 32 wards and also elect BJP candidate for the post of chairperson of Thanesar Municipal Council.” He also addressed a public meeting at Barara in Ambala and appealed to the people to vote for BJP candidate Harjinder Singh.
