A case has been registered against Komal and her brother Sumit on the complaint of Harbhajan Singh, a resident of Naraingarh.

In his complaint to the police, Harbhajan Singh stated that his daughter had appeared in the examination of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission in 2019. Komal, who is also a relative of the complainant, had approached them and claimed that her brother Sumit could get the exam cleared and they sought Rs 6 lakh for the job.

“I got convinced and paid them Rs 5.50 lakh in different instalments, but the accused failed to get the examination cleared. He then promised to get any other exam cleared but after three years he returned only Rs 2.30 lakh. A complaint was given in 2022 at the Patvi police post, following which the accused offered to get the matter settled but returned only Rs 70,000 and promised to give Rs 2.50 lakh by July 2024,” he added.

The complainant said that the accused had refused to return the money and also threatened him of dire consequences if he again demanded Rs 2.50 lakh.
