Two-day research festival ends at Mullana institute

The two-day MM Research Festival-2025, organised at Maharishi Markandeshwar (deemed to be university), Mullana, concluded on Saturday evening.

A spokesman of the university said the objective of the festival was to promote research advancement, academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The event encouraged dialogue and cooperation among various academic institutions, researchers and experts, providing scholars with an opportunity to share their ideas, perspectives and research findings, the spokesperson added. Researchers from various universities presented their research papers through a poster exhibition.

Scholars expressed their views on different topics.

The best of the research papers were honoured with a certificate of appreciation, recognizing the researchers’ contributions. Vice-chancellor Harish Sharma said a total of 435 researchers presented papers on various subjects — medical, paramedical and allied health sciences, physiotherapy and rehabilitation sciences, dental sciences, nursing, engineering, computer sciences and other scientific and technical fields.

The research papers were evaluated by experts from institutions across the country, including the University of Delhi, IIT-Roorkee, CSIR, NITs, Panjab University (Chandigarh), Punjabi University (Patiala) and Chaudhary Charan Singh University (Meerut), he added.

The festival provided a platform for researchers, students and academicians, enabling them to share their ideas. It would pave way for new dimensions and growth opportunities in the field of research and education, significantly impacting the academic and research landscape, he added.

Head (Research and Development Cell) Dr Aadesh K Saini said such programmes provided researchers from different fields with an opportunity to bring their research to the public, and the poster presentations made research findings more impactful and accessible.

Similar research festivals would be organised in the future, he added.
