Two held with Rs 1 cr narcotics in Palwal

The police recovered over 360 kg of ganja patti (cannabis) worth Rs 1 crore near Chandhut village of the district on Saturday night. Two persons have been arrested in this regard.
Sub-Inspector Ajit Nagar, head of the anti-narcotics cell of the police department, stated that the recovery occurred after a police team intercepted a canter truck at a checkpoint on the Aligarh road, based on a tip-off. The truck was discovered to be transporting 16 bags containing ganja patti and was headed towards the main highway connecting Palwal with Faridabad and Gurugram.
Nagar mentioned that two individuals, including the truck driver, attempted to escape after abandoning the vehicle but were apprehended by the police as soon as the vehicle came to a halt. Both suspects are residents of Nuh district, with one of them being the owner of the vehicle. The vehicle was thoroughly searched under the supervision of DSP Dinesh Yadav.
