A demolition drive was carried out by a team of the District Town Planner (DTP) in two unauthorised colonies of Bilaspur town and Chandakheri village (situated close to Bilaspur town) in Yamunanagar district today.

The DTP team demolished damp proof courses (DPC), network of kacha roads and under-construction structures in unauthorised colonies. DTP Rajesh Kumar said an unauthorised road in front of the new grain market, Bilaspur, and another unauthorised road adjoining the SDM office in Bilaspur were also demolished.

He said as per the instructions of DC Manoj Kumar demolition drive was conducted in unauthorised colonies. He further said their team carried out the demolition drive in two unauthorised colonies in Bilaspur town and Chandakheri village on Thursday. “Our team demolished DPCs, a network of kacha/mud roads and under-construction structures in these unauthorised colonies,” said Rajesh Kumar.
