Two more accused in BSP leader’s murder case held

A day after the police encounter of the main shooter in the BSP leader Harbilas Rajjumajra murder case, the Ambala police have nabbed two more accused after a brief exchange of fire in Shahzadpur area on Thursday. They have been identified as Abhishek, a resident of Shahzadpur, and Rajan, a resident of Naraingarh, in Ambala district.

As per the Ambala police, both were the accomplices of main shooter Sagar, who was killed in an encounter with STF, Haryana, and Ambala police on Wednesday. Both have suffered bullet injuries in their legs and were taken to the community health centre, Shahzadpur, from where they were referred to Civil Hospital, Ambala City.

As per information, the suspects were on a two-wheeler. The CIA-1 unit of Ambala police following a tip-off, went to arrest the accused. After seeing the CIA-1 team, the accused started shooting and in response the officials also opened fire, in which both suffered bullet injuries and were nabbed near the tehsil office in Shahzadpur. The CIA-1 unit has also recovered two illicit weapons from them.

Ambala SP Surinder Singh Bhoria said, “Rajan was present on the spot during the firing, while Abhishek was involved in recce, arranging car and arms.”

Meanwhile, Naraingarh SHO Lalit Kumar said that accused Rohit, who was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the case, was produced before a court today, which sent him to one-day police remand. Meanwhile, the body of Sagar was handed over to family.
