Karnal, February 8

Acting tough on drug peddlers, the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (HSNCB), Karnal unit, has arrested a man with 3 kg of ganja. Meanwhile, the Kaithal police nabbed a man with 7.6 kg of ‘doda post’.

Acting on a tip-off, HSNCB officials arrested Kehar Singh, a resident of Margehan village here, from near the augmentation canal, which is situated close to the Ranwar road.

Satish Vats, DSP (HSNCB), said the suspect had come to supply the drugs when he was arrested.

“We are making efforts to trace the source of the drugs. The Madhuban police have registered a case under the NDPS Act,” said the DSP.

He appealed to the people to share any information regarding drug trafficking on a number — 9050891508. He said the name of the informer will be kept confidential.

On the other hand, the Kaithal police arrested Karamjeet, a resident of Darba Dera Kamrehri, from his residence.
