Two men from Rajasthan were killed when their SUV collided with a truck on National Highway 11 near Kund Barrier here today. The deceased had been identified as Sarjeet (26), a resident of Jhunjhunu, and Chetan (19) of Churu district in Rajasthan.
The incident took place when they were going to Delhi from Rajasthan. As they crossed the Kathuwas toll plaza, the driver lost control over the wheel reportedly due to overspeeding. The SUV broke the divider and then collided with a truck on other side of the highway. Such was the impact that the SUV was completely wrecked.
Local residents extricated the men from the vehicle and rushed them to the hospital, where doctors declared both dead. The truck driver fled the spot. The police have started investigation after registering a case.
