Gurugram, April 11
Two snatchers were caught by the public on the spot while attempting to escape on their bike after snatching a mobile phone from a man in the Badshahpur area. The police were able to recover the stolen mobile phone from the accused and the bike that they had used to commit the crime, which had also been stolen from Delhi. An FIR has been registered at Badshahpur police station in this regard.
According to the complaint filed by Rinku, who works in a private company near Begumpur Khatola village and is a native of Fatehpur in Uttar Pradesh, the incident took place on Monday night at CSF Chowk while he was returning home from work. He stated that two individuals came on a bike without a number plate, and the pillion rider snatched his phone from his hand before they both fled towards Begumpur Khatola. However, passers-by caught them and informed the police.
The police arrived at the spot and arrested the two accused who were identified as Deepak (22) and Krishna (27), both residents of Khandsa village.
