Palwal, February 14
The civic body or the district administration is yet to launch the process of providing the required infrastructure in the colonies that had been carved out in an unauthorised manner, it is reported. With around 350 unauthorised colonies detected, the state government had announced to take up the regularisation of as many as 53 such colonies.
The total number of unauthorised colonies detected in a survey, conducted a few months ago, include 250 in panchayats or rural areas and 100 in civic limits of various municipalities in Palwal, Hodal and Hathin subdivisions in the district, say sources in the civic administration. Sunil Kumar, Executive Officer (EO), MC, said the process of regularisation is expected to start soon. He said the notification had been issued for 15 colonies located within the civic limits already. District Municipal Commissioner Paramjeet Chahal said as he had joined the duty recently, he was yet to collect details of the issue.
