Rewari, August 28
Congress’ national president of OBC department Capt Ajay Singh Yadav on Wednesday attacked the BJP government stating that an undeclared emergency had been imposed across the nation for the past 10 years.
“Opposition leaders are not being allowed to speak in Parliament while the ED and CBI raids are being conducted only against opposition leaders. When the BJP ministers torture the sportspersons, Modiji does not say any word. Now, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has given a shameful statement against the farm protest, but no BJP leader is saying anything,” said Yadav.
He was addressing a series of poll meetings in Budhani, Tatarpur and Asadhpur village during his public-contact programme on Wednesday. At present, his son Chiranjeev Rao is the MLA from Rewari and he too is seeking a re-election by holding poll meetings as his candidature is believed to be certain. On the question of the BJP demanding a change in the election date, the senior Congress leader said the BJP was running away even before the elections which showed that it was afraid of defeat.
The prominent Ahir leader claimed the countdown of the BJP government had begun as the people had made up their mind to oust it from power in the state this time. “The Congress will form the government with a thumping majority,” he added.
