Underprivileged getting benefits through Ayushman cards: MLA Anand
A free heart screening camp was organised by Sukh Dukh De Sathi Sabha, a social organisation, in collaboration with Virk Hospital, on the occasion of Ayushman Diwas. Karnal MLA Jagmohan Anand and Mayor Renu Bala Gupta inaugurated the camp and unveiled a state-of-the-art Cath lab at the hospital, aimed at providing advanced cardiac care.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Jagmohan Anand said, “It is a matter of pride that on the day Ayushman Bharat was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this modern Cath Lab was installed at Virk Hospital to benefit underprivileged patients. Now, even those holding Ayushman Cards will be able to access advanced heart treatments at this hospital.” Mayor Renu Bala Gupta also congratulated the hospital and said, “With this cutting-edge Cath Lab, heart-related treatment will now be accessible for poor patients under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. We are confident that this facility will benefit many.”
Cardiologist Dr Suraj Singh, who will now provide regular services at Virk Hospital, examined the health of over 100 patients during the camp. Dr Singh highlighted the increasing prevalence of heart diseases due to lifestyle changes and emphasised the importance of early diagnosis and timely treatment.
