Unhygienic conditions prevail in greater Faridabad

The residential sector of 85 in Greater Faridabad, has been a victim of extreme civic mess. Residents who purchased plots and flats in this sector are feeling helpless and duped in terms of facilities that were promised or were required to be provided to the allottees. With no garbage disposal management, waste is dumped anywhere and everywhere resulting in filthy civic conditions. While money has already been collected in the name of a community centre, there is no such facility till date. Poor condition of roads is accompanied by waterlogging after every downpour. Newly planted saplings require care

Though residents of the town are planting trees or saplings, most of them give little attention to the plant and fix tree guard for its survival. In the absence of care, the newly planted trees do not survive. So, it is necessary for all people who have planted saplings to provide regular care to the saplings planted by them. I have noticed that a large number of saplings do not survive as stray cattle feed on them and later the plant withers for want of water. —KK Verma, Bhiwani

Poor civic amenities in Panchkula sector

I wish to bring to the notice of the Haryana Government through the esteemed paper that residents are facing civic issues in Sector 21, Panchkula. Heaps of garbage are lying unattended in the market. Scores of stray animals are roaming in the sector littering roads. Packs of stray dogs are also a cause for concern. The sector roads recarpated only a few weeks ago have developed potholes due to low quality material used. The authorities should look into the issue. —ND Bansal, Panchkula
