Unidentified woman’s body found in drain

The body of an unidentified woman was found in a drain in Sector 8 of the IMT Manesar area here on Friday evening.

The woman, who is yet to be identified, appears to be aged around 25 years old. The body has been kept in mortuary of a hospital. A case of murder has been registered at the IMT Manesar police station.

According to the police, there were no visible injury marks on the woman’s body. It seems that the body was thrown into the drain around five days ago. It was found in a decomposed condition. A black thread was tied around her legs and neck.

“The body was fished out from the drain late on Friday evening. It has been kept in the mortuary for identification. A murder case has been registered and further investigations are on into the matter,” said Investigating Officer Sub-Inspector Mahender Singh.
