Artificial Intelligence (AI) trainer Dr Ashok Kumar, Associate Professor, Central University of Haryana, Mahendragarh, said, “Everyone needs to be AI-enabled. Without AI knowledge and skills, one will be outdated.”
During a workshop titled “AI Literacy and Applications for Media”, which was organised by the department of journalism & mass communication of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), he dwelled on various basic and applied aspects of AI, its applications in media sector, road map to acquire the AI skills, and ethical usage of AI.
He also informed about the increasing use of AI tools in healthcare sector.
Kumar said newsrooms were getting increasingly AI-enabled. Upskilling in AI domain is the need of the hour, he added. He shared various AI tools for use by students. He advised the participants of the workshop to learn the skills of prompt engineering for successful use of AI tools. The resource person answered the queries of the participants. He also conducted individual and group exercises on usage of AI tools.
Faculty members Sunit Mukherjee and Dr Naveen Kumar introduced the speaker. Research scholars and students of the department attended the workshop.
