Varsity completes skill assessment of over 78K school students in 15 days

The Shri Vishwakarma Skill University at Dudhola village in the district has completed the campaign of practical assessment of 78,169 students studying vocational subjects in government schools (affiliated to Haryana Board of School Education).

A university spokesperson said during the campaign — conducted between February 1 and 15 — students were assessed in theoretical and practical fields for 27 job roles of 15 different sectors of education in the state. He said 43,469 students of Class X and 34,700 of Class XII were evaluated. Claiming 350 evaluators were engaged in the 15-day campaign, and it had been carried under the supervision of the university’s department of evaluation and certification. The university had been given the responsibility of the practical assessment of the vocational subjects of government school students and it covered a total of 22 districts across the state.

Shikha Gupta, joint director of assessment and certification department, said the results of vocational subjects of classes X and XII would be prepared on the basis of the assessment report. The assessment drive covered 25,476 students of IT, 13,656 of beauty and wellness, 9,419 of health care and 6,183 of retail management. — TNS
