Hisar: Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, has signed an MoU with the Association for Innovation Development of Entrepreneurship in Agriculture (A-IDEA), Technology Business Incubator of the ICAR National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad. The MoU was signed by Human Resource and Management Director Dr Rajesh Khurana on behalf of LUVAS and Dr Cherukumalli Srinivasa Rao, President, A-IDEA, on behalf of A-IDEA. The objective of the MoU is to co-host events and similar activities related to veterinary, animal science, dairy science and other allied science startups with mutual consent and equal sharing of resources (time and manpower). The parties agreed to co-incubate veterinary, animal science, dairy science and other allied science startups. GJUST increases the seats for Food Tech course.

more Seats for MSc Food Tech at GJUSt

Hisar: Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar (GJUST), has increased the number of seats for admission to the MSc Food Technology course in the university. The number of seats in this course has increased from 40 to 50. The university administration has taken this decision keeping in view the inclination of applicants towards this course. Head of the Department Professor Aradhitha B Ray informed that Integrated BSc (Hons/Hons with Research)-MSc (Food Technology) course has been introduced in the Food Technology Department from the current academic session. This course has been started under the National Education Policy. Admission in the course will be given on the basis of academic merit. Apart from this, Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc) in Food Processing and Engineering and BTech Food Technology programmes are being conducted in the department.

4 K’shetra varsity students placed

Kurukshetra: The Institute of Environmental Studies of Kurukshetra University organised a campus placement drive in the university. A Jaipur-based company, Gaurang Environmental Solutions Pvt Ltd, visited the campus and selected four students of M.Sc. (Environmental Science) and M.Tech (Energy and Environmental Management) run by the institute. The students, namely, Shivam Aggarwal, Sahiba, Chanchal, Sapna Devi have been offered the environmental officer position in the company.
