Vax drive for 18+ begins



Chandigarh, May 2

Health Minister Anil Vij said that Covid vaccination of people aged between 18 and 45 years has started in all districts of the state from today.

Vij said that free vaccination would be done at all government hospitals and vaccination centres in the state.

For this, 66 lakh doses of Covid vaccine have been sought and its first batch has been received. Vaccination has been started at about 200 centres across the state.

The Health Minister said that about 1.1 crore people of the state fall in the age group of 18 to 45 years.

He said a special vaccination camp would be organised tomorrow at the MLA dispensary in which journalists could get themselves vaccinated by just bringing along their Aadhaar card. — TNS
