Home and Health Minister Anil Vij inaugurated a walk-in health kiosk equipped with integrated point of care diagnostics at police auditorium in Ambala City today.

The machine, also called ‘Health ATM’, has been provided under the Corporate Social Responsibility by Lord’s Mark Industries to the Ambala range.

Anil Vij said: “As the nation is on the path of digitalisation, this innovative health machine will strengthen the healthcare system at the grassroot level. The new modern machine will provide easy and convenient preventive health screening to the citizens in the near future.”

Vij said the government had decided that every policeman above 35 years had to get his health check-up done once in two years.

The machine inaugurated measures more than 50 essential diagnostic parameters ranging from body temperature, blood glucose and ECG to rapid test for infectious diseases. The result of all these parameters is on near real-time basis for improved patient outcomes and care.

The minister said the police personnel worked in tough conditions and performed their duties with determination and fearlessness. If the officials were healthy, the results would also be good. The machine would help the policemen in keeping check on their health conditions, he added.
