To provide secure future to the children who lost their parents due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the state, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that state government had launched Mukhya Mantri Bal Seva Yojana.

He said that under the scheme, the state government would provide a financial assistance of Rs 2,500 per child per month to the families looking after such children till 18 years of age. Besides, an amount of Rs 12,000 per annum will also be given to such children till they attain the age of 18 years.

Vij added that children, who do not have any family members to look after them, would be nursed by Child Care Institutions. For such children, Rs. 1,500 per child per month would be provided by the state government till the child attains the age of 18 years, he said.
