The minister, who was there to get an X-ray of his foot, discovered several issues, including malfunctioning X-ray machines and a non-operational centralised air conditioning system.

Vij, who played a significant role in establishing the hospital and equipping it with advanced machinery, voiced his frustration over its poor maintenance. He noted that despite efforts to provide state-of-the-art facilities, they were not being properly maintained, leading to the current situation.

In response to the deficiencies, Anil Vij has raised the issue with the Additional Chief Secretary of Health and has called for an inquiry into the matter. He stated that strict action would be taken against officials responsible for the hospital’s condition.

Accompanying BJP leaders highlighted that one of the X-ray machines was out of order and that complaints regarding negligence and lack of upkeep had been consistently reported to the minister.

After completing his X-ray at the hospital, doctors advised Vij to rest for an additional week following a previous recommendation for bed rest due to a fracture in his left thumb.
