A family from Gharaunda in Karnal informed the minister that their brother had been duped of Rs 5.5 lakh on the pretext of sending him abroad. Similarly, a woman from Jandheri village reported that she was duped of Rs 3.5 lakh on the pretext of sending her abroad. A couple of more such cases were reported today following which Vij referred the complaints to SIT and issued directions for necessary actions against the accused.

A family from Firozpur Jhirka alleged police inaction in a rape case following which the minister sought action-taken report from the Police Department.

Meanwhile, a woman from Karnal, informed the minister that she was battling cancer and even though her family’s income was less than Rs 1 lakh, as per the family identity card, her Ayushman card had not yet been issued. The Home Minister directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Karnal, to issue Ayushman card to the applicant, under the established guidelines.

He also issued directions in cases related to assault, attempt to murder, illegal possession and an alleged fake complaint. Meanwhile, the minister on his social media account advised people to have ‘Satvik’ food till the consecration of Lord Rama’s idol in Ayodhya on January 22 and create a pure atmosphere in the country.

The minister wrote, “People should have Satvik food till the consecration of Lord Rama’s idol in Ayodhya on January 22. Tamasic and Rajasic food should be avoided. Eating Satvik food brings purity to thoughts and will keep the environment pure in the country.”
