Karnal, December 29

Showing their resentment against the three laws, farmers have banned the entry of BJP-JJP leaders and workers in Salaru village of the district.

They have put up hoardings at various entry points and threatened leaders and workers of the BJP and JJP that they will be responsible for the consequences if they enter the village.

“These laws are against farmers and labourers and the government should repeal these,” said Sahab Singh, a farmer.

Meanwhile, the protest at the Bastara and Peont toll plazas entered the fifth day on Tuesday.

The relay fast at Bastara entered the second day as five farmers sat on fast while others staged dharna on the NH-44. Haryanvi folk artistes entertained the farmers with ‘ragnis’. The passage through the toll plaza would remain free for commuters till the demands were fulfilled, said a farmer.
