Villagers shave head of 2 eve-teasers in Nuh
Villagers in Nuh shaved the heads of two men from a nearby village to teach them a lesson for harassing girls.
The incident occurred in Mandarka village, where men from the nearby village Chilawali had been coming every day and harassing girls.
The men would write lewd comments on chits and throw them at the girls.
They would also stop girls on roads, tease them outside school, and engage in other forms of harassment.
Villagers claim they repeatedly warned the men, their parents, and even the village panchayat to stop the harassment.
When their efforts proved futile, the villagers took matters into their own hands and "punished" the men.
On Wednesday, when two men came to the village and began throwing chits, villagers captured them and shaved their heads. They also filmed the incident and posted it on social media. After doing so, they called the police.
The local SHO confirmed the incident and stated that the two men had been handed over to the police. “These men had become a constant nuisance and had no fear of the police. If we had called the police earlier, they would have been easily let off, but the village has taught them a lesson they will never forget. We have also asked their panchayat to punish them,” said a Panchayat member from Mandarka.
