In a meeting led by local leaders, proposals to conserve land, prioritise education and promote agricultural businesses were passed to enhance village growth.

A meeting of the Jamghat Panchayat was organised in the Murthal village under the banner of Abhyudaya Jan Kalyan Nyas, where key problems concerning rural development and social reform were discussed.

The session was chaired by Rameshwar Antil, Sarpanch of the village, with Dr Yogendra Malik, president of Abhyudaya Jan Kalyan Nyas, as the keynote speaker.

Dr Malik said the development of rural areas is essential for the nation’s progress. He stated the country’s growth can only accelerate when rural regions are developed, stressing such development requires collective effort and a positive mindset. “Promoting agriculture-based businesses is crucial to ensuring sustainable growth in these areas,” he added.

During the meeting, three significant proposals aimed at fostering rural development were approved. The first proposal mandates when land is sold in the village, an equal amount of land must be purchased elsewhere. This initiative seeks to ensure the conservation and balanced use of land, ensuring future generations benefit from it.

The second proposal focused on education, declaring no child in the village would be denied access to schooling. Education would be prioritised in every circumstance to guarantee a brighter future for the children.

The third proposal aims to boost agricultural businesses alongside traditional farming. Instead of solely selling raw agricultural products, it was agreed efforts should be made to add value and promote business ventures related to agriculture.

These proposals mark a significant step forward in the village’s pursuit of sustainable growth and social reform.
