Virender Rathore a double-engine candidate from Gharaunda: Deepender Hooda
Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda exhorted people to elect party candidate from Gharaunda Virender Rathore for a strong Congress government. He made a bold appeal to voters, saying, “If you elect Virender Rathore as your MLA, you will get former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and me for free.” Deepender was addressing a gathering at Gagsina village, a Jat-dominated village, here today.
During his speech, without naming anyone, he issued a stern warning to those within the Congress, who might betray the party for personal gain, and said, “The people will not forgive those who betray in this battle for truth.”
Deepender emphasised that Rathore had a long history of fighting for the people of Gharaunda and was the best person to work for their interests.
He hinted that Deepender Hooda will be the Chief Minister. “Your each vote not only elects Rathore as the MLA, but will ensure in making Hooda sahib the CM of Haryana,” he said.
He accused the BJP government of not taking steps to address key issues and accused it of dividing society along caste and communal lines for political gains. He gave a call for unity, saying the Congress was a party that supported inclusivity. He said, “Vo todenge, hum jodenge (They will divide, we will unite).”
Highlighting the critical issue of unemployment, Deepender criticised the BJP for offering only temporary jobs through the Rozgar Kaushal Nigam, which he described as a “murder of the Constitution” by ignoring merit and reservation policies. Referring to the deaths of 750 farmers during the farmers’ protests, Hooda urged Gagsina villagers to “teach a lesson” to the BJP government for its disregard to farmers’ lives. He also condemned the BJP for the “violent crackdowns” on employees who were demanding the old pension scheme and ASHA workers, calling it “a government that respects no one”.Mocking the BJP’s “double engine” government model, Hooda said, “The double engine has failed and now only the engine remains, as all bogies having left.” He referred to Virender Rathore as the “double engine” candidate, who would bring change for the constituency. He will bring benefits not only from his side but also from the Hooda family if elected, he said.
